Essex Moth Group meetings 2011

A number of Meetings for 2011 have been arranged, details as follows; Friday 3rd June - Buntings Meadow, meet at car park at end of Hubert Rd, TL979255 at 9.00pm. Friday 24th June - High Woods Country Park, Meet at the visitors centre TL999270 at 9.00pm. Wednesday 10th August - Welsh Wood, Meet Woodlands Rd, entrance off Welsh Wood Park Rd, TM025264 at 9.00pm. Friday 19th August - Lexdon Park, Meet at Lexdon car park off Church Lane TL971250 at 9.00pm.

All the above events are at the request of Colchester Borough Council- Ranger Service and will be advertised as public events so expect some Children. A number of other trapping sessions will be announced soon, Tiptree Heath, Cudmore Grove etc, details will follow. Thanks to David Barnard and Joe Firmin for the above information. Saturday 16th July a joint meeting with the Suffolk Moth Group at Stour Wood, Wrabness, meet in car park at 9pm. Mon 18/04/11: Sloe Carpet search at RSPB Old Hall Marshes. Essex University have asked the group to arrange a trapping session in the grounds of the campus on the 31st May, more details will follow when i have them.
