EFC Centre at Wat Tyler Country ParkWe are normally open to the public at our centre at Wat Tyler Country Park every Saturday, Sunday and bank holiday 11am-4pm. We are also open on Wednesdays 10am-4pm.

Sat Nov 25th 2017 Non-residential £42, 20% reduction to members of the Essex Field Club This one day hands-on course is intended to enable participants to get the best out of a microscope for observation or for measurement, and is suitable for complete beginners as well as those who want to improve their microscope techniques. Each participant will have individual access to both a stereozoom-dissecting and a high-power compound microscope, and be introduced to a range of optical and slide making techniques including chromosome preps. Ken Adams is BSBI, BBS and Essex Field Club: Higher Plant, Fern and Bryophyte recorder for Essex. He co-authored the second Flora of Essex (1974) and is working on a third Flora of the county.
