Fri Aug 10th 2018 Saltmarshes: Botany & Ecology.  Non-residential £53, 20% reduction to members of the Essex Field Club This course covers the recognition and identification of the higher plants of saltmarsh and saline dyke habitats and the zonation of saltmarsh vegetation. Participants will be able to explore the extensive saltmarshes surrounding the Wat Tyler Country Park and work together on recording transects across the saltings. The level is suitable for beginners, for which the FSC foldout chart Saltmarsh Plants of Britain will be supplied, together with more specialized illustrated keys to critical genera for more advanced participants.

This course runs from 09.45 to 17.00 and the course price includes FSC foldout 'Saltmarsh Plants of Britain' and lunch at the Wat Tyler Cafe. Saltmarshes: Botany and Ecology @ The Green Centre is led by The Essex Botanical Society in collaboration with Epping Forest Field Centre.
