Sat May 25th 2019 10.30am.  General meeting Saxonbury Wood consists of 4 acres on the west side of Chantry Wood. This private ancient woodland has few records. Parking is where the P is on the map. Please park to one side of the gate so as not to block the access and safely off the road. There should be parking for only 2-3 cars as long as the inner ones don’t mind being blocked by the outer ones. Further parking would have to be in Wickham Bishops, the village at the eastern end of Chantry Wood, a couple of hundred yards away along Witham Road. There are no parking restrictions, but common sense would be needed as the road is not particularly wide. To get to the wood would mean walking back along Witham Road, which is quite busy. There is no parking nearby in the other direction along Witham Road towards Witham itself. Contact: Contact Peter Harvey:
