Summary: Habitats developed on silt and sand dredgings since 1970s. Complex mosaic of flower rich herbaceous vegetation, lichen heath, seasonally wet areas, some with saline influence, scrub and ditches.

Description:

Reason for interest: Nationally important invertebrate fauna with key populations of the UKBAP Shrill Carder and Brown-banded Carder Bees, as well as numerous other rare and scarce species.
