Species text
This is a dolichopodid fly found only in the intertidal zone which appears to be genuinely rare. D'Assis Fonseca (1978) describes the genus as breeding in intertidal habitats around the coast and lists records for the species from River Deben, Suffolk (1907), Walton-on-Naze (1908), Lepe (1953) and Bucklers Hard, Hants. (1954). One female was collected by M.W. Hanson at Tollesbury Wick Mark in 2004. References
