Species text
Bembidion quadripustulatum is a widespread but local black ground beetle with 4 reddish spots. It has a south-easterly distribution, and with few recent records (Luff, 1998). It is predatory, found on bare ground and mud at the margins of standing and running water. Management should aim at maintaining open conditions and encouraging early successional stages along lake and pit edges (Hyman & Parsons, 1992). References
