Species text
Brachycarenus tigrinus was first recorded in Britain in 2003 by Richard Jones from Battersea Park (Jones, 2004). It is known throughout most of Europe, where it has been expanding its range, so it may be about to follow the two Stictopleurus species in their recolonisation and expansion in Britain of the last few years. At two sites in South Essex a number of specimens have been swept off Dittander Lepidium latifolium (a known food plant, P. Kirby, pers. comm.). References
