Species text
This species was given RDB2 (Vulnerable) status in Shirt (1987) and then Nationally Notable status in Falk (1991), but excluded from the latest review (Falk & Crossley, 2005) because it has now been recorded from 14 counties. In Essex there are a block of records from Epping Forest, one record from Hatfield Forest and several other records in the southwest of the county, with one previous record in Basildon district at Hannakins Meadow near Billericay being the furthest east until the current survey.
