Recorded from Chafford Hundred in Thurrock, now mostly built on.
Species text
The picture winged fly Ensina sonchi has records for England north to Cheshire. The larvae form a gall in the flower head of Hypochoerus radicata, Aster tripolium, Leontodon, Picris, Sonchus, or Trapogon (Recorder species account). References
