Species text
There is a single modern record from the Holland-on-Sea area, collected by Ted Benton in 1995, and the presence of a population of this much declined bee needs investigation and conservation action. The bee is closely associated with Fabaceae such as Lotus corniculatus, Vicia cracca, V. sepium, Lathyrus tuberosus, L. sylvestris, Medicago sativa, Trifolium repens, T. pratense. The species nests in both firm, level soil and in cliffs. References
