Species text
This bee occurs in southern England, mainly near the coast, but in south Essex it is so widespread and frequent that it has not been included in the Essex Red Data list. British pollen sources are not known, but flower visits are reported from a variety of species (Falk, 1991b), including various yellow composites (Asteraceae). References
