Species text
This pseudoscorpion has not yet been recorded outside Britain, and the wide spread and variation in habitat of the very few British records led Legg & Jones (1988) to suggest that more than one species might be involved. It was first found in Essex at Colne Point in 1950 in saltmarsh debris and litter amongst the shingle, but the Essex Spider Group has found it in similar situations in a number of similar situations between Walton Naze and Foulness.
