Species text
This flesh fly (listed as Sarcophaga ebrachiata in Falk, 1991) was reported from recorded from Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire, Lancashire, Somerset, Inverness and Sutherland. It is new to Essex in this survey. It is possibly associated with sand dunes. The life history is unknown though the larvae possibly develop in decaying animals or are parasitoids of other invertebrates (Recorder species account). References
