Species text
Although well distributed insect nationally in the south from Norfolk to the south coast in Essex this species is scarce, the bulk of records close to the Colne, Blackwater and Belton Hills areas, with occasional records further inland. It seems to prefer tall scrubby coastal vegetation and was included in the Essex Red Data list because of the high degree of threat to the Essex marshes and adjacent areas. References
