Species text
D'Assis Fonseca (1978) lists the only British record of this small predacious fly as one male from Aviemore (Inverness). However the Recorder species account describes it from widely separated localities in Scotland and Cambridgeshire. It is a species of wetland habitats. The larvae are probably phytophagous, mining the stems of monocotyledons. References
