Species text
The Essex records are for a strong population from a single area of undercliff immediately south of Hadleigh Castle during 1990, an area supporting an extraordinary assemblage of invertebrates, together with several collected at the site near Tilbury in 2006 and 2007. Nationally it is a rare spider associated with undercliffs and stony chalk grassland, especially on cliff tops. Most definite recent records are from near the coast, and inland records are likely to be the results of misidentification. References
