Since this time, Buglife link has continued to fight to protect the invertebrates of this nationally important wildlife site, threatened by a proposed Royal Mail distribution warehouse and lorry park.  Buglife's campaign against the development – including a petition, political lobbying and national media coverage – has so far brought the site and its rare bugs a two year stay of execution.  This coming Friday 22 February, Buglife will be going to the High Court in London to try to stop the site’s destruction.
