Two years ago you may have signed Buglife’s petition to try to stop the destruction of West Thurrock Marshes on the banks of the river Thames. Since this time, Buglife link has continued to fight to protect the invertebrates of this nationally important wildlife site, threatened by a proposed Royal Mail distribution warehouse and lorry park.  Buglife's campaign against the development – including a petition, political lobbying and national media coverage – has so far brought the site and its rare bugs a two year stay of execution.  This coming Friday 22 February, Buglife will be going to the High Court in London to try to stop the site’s destruction.
