which she seeks out sources of additional material for the Survey ; and
she will be glad to acknowledge further gifts of photographs or prints.
The Forest Museum at Chingford is being efficiently looked after
by Miss Oxley and the Special Committee appointed for the purpose ;
a recent development is the formation of a small band of voluntary helpers
from among our members, who will undertake the gradual overhauling
and refurbishing of the exhibits.
Two Parts of the Essex Naturalist have been issued, at regular
six-monthly intervals, and the 21st Volume is now completed. The Council
ventures to express its opinion that the scientific value of the articles
published has been fully equal to that of previous issues.
Investigations were carried out by the Club at Loughton Camp,
in Epping Forest, during last summer, and have yielded valuable data
for determining the age of the Camp ; the researches are to be continued
during the coming summer.
Members of the Club took a leading part in the preparation of a
comprehensive booklet ("Essex Survey") which was published on the
occasion of the South-Eastern Union's Congress at Colchester in June
last.
