Pomatoschistus minutus: The Sand Goby is a more marine species, usually
found in deeper water and able to move out to sea in cold weather (Healey,
1971; Fonds, 1973). The fish is lighter in colour than the Common Goby.
It has three or four large spots on each flank, with a more prominent spot
at the base of the tail (F). It has only one dark band or spot running down
from the eye (G). The fish is more slender than the Common Goby with a
