In the year ending 30th June 1831, the sale of manu- factured articles amounted to £892. 0s. 10d. against which is to be placed £57. 12s. 9d. paid for implements for manufacture, and £251. 5s. 2d. encouragement money to paupers, so that the actual gain was only £583. 3s. 2d. The expence of this establishment last year was £30,193. 1s.; this year is expected to be more, as the parish is daily increasing with small houses. Besides the expence of this establishment, the relief given to families out of the house amounted to £27,625 1s. 2d.
