The Essex Field Club
Founded 1880
The Essex Field Club offers a programme of over 40 outdoor meetings a year, covering plants, fungi, mosses,
lichens, mammals, birds, invertebrates, and geology, with further indoor meetings in winter. Through its Recorders,
the Field Club maintains detailed scientific records of the Essex flora, fauna and geology that are important for local
and national purposes and in advising on the management and protection of sites. Members receive a Newsletter
three times a year, with more scientific papers published annually in the Essex Naturalist. The Field Club also
publishes or is associated with the publication of occasional monographs.
Annual membership subscription:
Ordinary individual subscriptions £15
Under eighteens £10
Family subscriptions £17.50 (which includes one set of publications per family)
Corporate subscriptions (libraries, organisations, companies, consultancies, etc) £20
