Brief description of site:

On the side of the road south-west of Elmdon Lee is a small chalk pit recently excavated for chalk. The pit has a clean, 2 metre high vertical chalk face with flint nodules. There is also a 45 degree flint seam and a marl seam.

The pit can be seen from the road but is on private land and permission from the landowner is required for access.
