Summary: Chafford Gorges Nature Park is situated in Chafford Hundred in Essex. The area was formerly chalk quarries but now is an excellent site for wildlife. Description: Lakes Chalk Grasslands Woodland Sandy cliff Sandy grassland early woodland stages and coppiced areas Reason for interest: Contains a SSSI for geological features and for Invertebrate Assemblages.
