Site category: Boulders - sarsen

Sarsen stone found at Goldsands Road Pit, Southminster in 2008. (see separate site entry for Goldsands Road Pit)

The stone is beautifully mammillated and unworn, despite having been brought to this spot from the North Downs of Kent in the gravels of the River Medway.

The current location of this stone is unknown. It was to be donated to Burnham-on-Crouch Museum.
