EFC Centre at Wat Tyler Country ParkWe are closed due to the Covid-19 situation, but we are otherwise normally open to the public at our centre at Wat Tyler Country Park every Saturday, Sunday and bank holiday 11am-4pm, check. We are also normally open on Wednesdays 10am-4pm.

Proceeding under Covid-19 restrictions
Terrestrial Molluscs: Snails and Slugs (Field Course). Chalkney Woods near Earls Colne. Park at the lay-by at the wood entrance from Tey Road just south of Ivy Cottage TL874274 postcode CO6 2LD. Cost: free to Essex Field Club members, £10 for non members (booking essential) A day with County recorder and Club President Simon Taylor, during which you will learn how to differentiate and recognise the major groups of terrestrial Mollusca and identify a range of species. Laminated fold-out identification guides will be available (cost £2); it is advisable to bring a hand lens. Please also bring a packed lunch.
