Our centre is available for visits on a pre-booked basis on Wednesdays between 10am - 4pm. The Club’s activities and displays are also usually open to the public on the first Saturday of the month 11am - 4pm.
Species text Synanthedon formicaeformis is local in southern England north to Dumfrieshire, and also noted in south Wales. It occurs in gravel pits, fenland and marshy areas, the larva feeding in the stems and branches of Salix viminalis and occasionally other species of Salix. References
