Improve your skills. Join our field meetings and as well as enjoying the social side of the meetings, get expert help from specialists on identification and field survey techniques:

All meetings are open to members and non-members. If you plan to attend a field meeting you MUST BOOK WITH THE LEADER before the date of the meeting and confirm that you have read the Meetings guidance and the general field meeting Risk Assessment. Please note that meetings already arranged may change.

Sat Sep 17th 2022 10.30-1.30pm.  Field Course: Shieldbugs and Ladybirds
A wide variety of shieldbugs and ladybirds are found at Rainham Marshes. We will search for and learn to identify the different species in the field. The course is suitable both for beginners and those with a bit more experience who would like to see some less common species. The course will be led by Yvonne Couch of the Essex Field Club, in partnership with the RSPB, and there will be a small charge for all participants, which includes reserve entrance fee. All equipment will be provided. Venue: RSPB Rainham Marshes, New Tank Hill Road, Purfleet RM19 1SZ. Please book and pay via RSPB Rainham Marshes: https://events.rspb.org.uk/events/21236 . Spaces are limited to 12 adults.
