show OS map  show polygon

Status: Local Wildlife Site (LoWS)
Access: Has previously been some level of apparent de facto public access

Summary: The site is likely to support a number of species of principle importance, included in the UKBAP, as well as providing good habitat opportunities for reptiles, protected by the Wildlife and Countryside Act.

Description: Former coastal grazing marsh which has never been ploughed. The grassland has some scrub development evident from Google Satellite photographs and there is clearly a good structural variety in the grassland.

Reason for interest: The site may well still support an important flora and fauna and is identified as a Local (County) Wildlife Site.in a 2016 review. General survey in all major groups is required. Thurrock Greengrid Strategy, EECOS 2007).
