Agrilus laticornis is a dull bronze jewel beetle that is widely distributed in southern English woodland but very local. The larvae develop in oak, and like A. angustulus, probably occur in dying rather than dead branches. Adults are very active in hot, sunny weather. Open glades and ride margins should be cut on rotation to retain a variety of vegetation structures (Hyman & Parsons 1992). References
