Species text
This is a local and rather elusive bug usually found on rather damp, often heavy soils, both in woodland rides and in more open situations. It was recorded at Hanbury Marsh in the l9th century, in Epping Forest in 1950 (Groves 1965) and has recently been found e.g. at Bradwell and Aveley Bay. Its status in the county is uncertain, but probably it remains at multiple locations (P. Kirby, in Essex Red Data list). References
