Species text
There are few records scattered through Southern Britain, but tends to be abundant where it occurs. It has been bred from a pupae found between the leaf-sheathes of Typha but also found in stands of Glyceria and Phragmites. Larvae probably predatory on other insects in reed stems (Recorder Species Account). References
