Species text
Sibinia arenariae is widespread but local along the coasts of southern England. This species has only been recorded from coastal habitats, on coastal cliffs, the drier parts of saltmarshes and grassland. It is phytophagous, associated with Spergularia. Some grazing, rotational cutting or other disturbance, such as rotovation, may be needed to maintain open conditions (Hyman & Parsons 1992). References
