Essex Red Data List comment
2 oldish records, but status doubtful as to whether ever been a native species in the county. Nationally very rare. In Essex there are just three 1km records but two are suspected to be for the same record at Tilbury for 1961 and prior. The other well documented record from Shoeburyness in 1985 was thought to be an accidental introduction on army equipment from abroad.
