Species text
This ground nesting spider hunting wasp has few records in Essex and is infrequently found. It is reputed to be associated with sandy-clay woodlands but in Sussex it has been found in wooded heathlands on light sands. In Essex it has also only been recorded from heathy habitats on sandy soils. References
