EFC Centre at Wat Tyler Country ParkOur centre is available for visits on a pre-booked basis on Wednesdays between 10am - 4pm. The Club’s activities and displays are also usually open to the public on the first Saturday of the month 11am - 4pm.

locate Garnetts Wood
An important ancient woodland with Small-leaved Lime.

locate Chafford Gorges
A series of old chalk quarries, now owned and managed by the Essex Wildlife Trust.

locate Site off Arisdale Avenue, South Ockendon
The site contains flower rich brownfield, some sandy exposures and banks, Horse grazed grassland, wet woodland, Phragmites reedbed and open water.

locate Rainham Marshes
Formerly a Ministry of Defence firing range, much of the original medieval land-form and marshland wildlife has been preserved and this RSPB reserve is now the largest remaining expanse of wetland bordering the upper reaches of the Thames Estuary.

Shingle foreshore on side of inlet in Blackwater estuary.

locate Lodge Farm, Witham
Common pipistrelle and possible soprano pipistrelle transitional/occasional (non-breeding) roost utilised by a small number of bats (max 3 recorded). These roosts are associated with confirmed lifted tiles on the north gable end of the farmhouse, and potentially other lifted tiles on north and west elevations.
