Site category: Building or wall

Site name: Great Braxted Church

Grid reference: TL 8509 1544

Brief description of site:

One of the best churches in Essex for the variety of natural stones in its external fabric. A great number of glacial erratic cobbles are present in the walls. Access to the church is usually only available on days when there is a service (gate to the road is closed for the majority of the time).
