Grid reference: TL 443 362 Brief description of site: A point 1 kilometre north of Langley church is the highest point in Essex. 147 metres (487 feet) above sea level on the rolling chalk hills that stretch from Wiltshire via the Chilterns to Norfolk. The northern rim of the London Basin.
The Harcamlow Way, a long distance footpath, passes through this point.
